Nose Care FAQs

Pick a question, or scroll through all the answers.

01

Can a nose check really be done at home?

Yes. A clinician brings a light, a nasal speculum and other basic tools to look inside the nose and review your symptoms. Some tests, such as scans or a nasal scope, need a clinic, and we will tell you if that is the case.

02

What nose problems can you help with?

Blocked or runny nose, sinus pressure, allergy symptoms, post-nasal drip, minor nosebleeds and snoring linked to a blocked nose. We check, explain what we find and suggest the next steps.

03

When should I go to emergency care instead?

Go straight to emergency care for trouble breathing, a nosebleed after a head injury, a heavy nosebleed that does not stop with steady pressure, or a high fever with swelling around the eyes or changes in vision. A home visit does not replace emergency care.

04

Do you see children?

Yes. Children are seen with a parent or guardian present the whole time, and we keep the check gentle and short.

05

Can you prescribe medicine?

Advice and prescriptions are given only if the clinician decides they are needed after the check, and in line with local rules.

06

Can you help with allergies from dust or sandstorms?

We can review your symptoms, talk through common triggers at home and suggest ways to manage them. If allergy testing is needed, we refer you to a clinic.

07

How long does a visit take?

Most visits take around half an hour to an hour, depending on what is needed. We confirm the time when you book.

08

Do I need to prepare anything?

A quiet room with good light is enough. Please keep a list of any medicines or nasal sprays you use, so the clinician can see it.

09

How do I book?

Use the Book Now button, choose a time and tell us your area and main symptoms. We confirm the visit and the price with you first.
